Little Girl Was Chained To A Post As A Punishment After She Refused To Go To School

We all know for a fact that if ever we’ve done something wrong, we should receive a punishment for us to learn our lessons the hard way and also to make sure that we won’t do the same wrongdoings again. However, there are times when the punishment received is no longer right, especially when the one receiving the punishment is a kid. Just like this 8-year-old girl who was chained to a post as her punishment.

Heartbreaking photos of an 8-year-old girl chained to a lamppost by her own mother created an outrage online.

As stated by the reports of The Indian Express, the little girl was chained to a lamppost in a car parking complex in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia after she refused to go to school. Further reports explained that the mother of the little girl wanted to discipline her so she decided to chain her daughter on the post.

The photos of the little girl sucking her thumb while showing signs of helplessness angered the netizens all over the world.

The residents near the area have reportedly alerted the police about the pitiful condition of the little girl. The authorities then responded to her immediately and found out that she was punished for ‘misbehaving and refusing to go to school’. Aside from that, they were also told that the mother of the little girl would soon return to set her free.

After ten minutes, the mother came and admitted that she truly punished her daughter because she didn’t want to go to school. The moment the girl was freed, they were brought to the Subang Jaya district police headquarters for interrogation.

According to the Assistant Police Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari, it was the very first time that the little girl was chained and so they warned the mother not to do it again.
